New Shelves

bookcase.gif

The ELF scrolls will be moving in a few moons and may be unavailable for as long as 2-3 moons while I reorganize the new shelves. (OOC August 23rd to approximately September 7th). Don't worry, they will be back after that! I might have time to fix a few places where they are warped under the weight of our old tomes, and Prentis has promised to give them an updated look.

Blue Moon

It had been many moons since I made it to a meeting, and this time I was the only one there... so I went to the mirror for some company. Ok, so I wasn't really the only ELF in the lands. An AQUA-bard showed up in town center to entertain with some jaunty, unnamed tunes; and who can blame Sylune for being in an exciting hunt in the Pitch Caves.

I may be able to make next moon, but will definitely be away the moon after. This season is full of faraway hunts.

Today's Hunt in Brief

Vequalir: "shoot.. need to afk for about 2 min"
Fleming: "Should be safe here."

1 minute later...

Fleming was right in a way. Vequalir never fell the entire time. (Also note our newest hopeful, Llwenyen).

April Foolery

Last moon, instead of having a meeting, we visited the portal leading to the Boardwalk that appears in Puddleby roughly every four years. In addition to the usual games and facepaints, there was a stable for snail races and a new game called Spider Splat, which was amazingly addicting. With the help of Kani and Usagi, I was able to set a new record with a score of 24,514. Unfortunately, I barely had time to brag about it, before I was beaten out by another spider slayer. Oh well, at least it was fun while it lasted.

Stop and Go

Zeitgeist and I were the only Ilsar'din at a meeting two moons ago. We had a run-in with a Greymyr after hunting up coins across the lands. Thanks to ZG I was able to finally earn enough for my belt of the wild. Chiggers beware!

Recently Spotted in TC

Apparently the rumors of Ayella's death have been greatly exaggerated. She popped up the other day while I was sitting in town, and played us a few tunes on her harp, before quickly disapearing back into the library.

Lone Rangers

There was a threatening note about rent payments on the Treehouse door when I arrived at this moon's meeting. It didn't bode well, but we do have a great store of coins in the clan coffers. (Tan'ki, whoever is donating!) Afton was the only other ELF who joined me by the fire.

babyples.gif

We roamed Gungla's island and managed to take out a baby plesiasaur at one point. Unfortunately, this was about the only thing we could manage for long without a healer! We did take down some more sea creatures, visit Pirate Henrik, and find some copper ore.

I then encouraged Prentis to come out of the library, but she told me that a beetle ended her fun with uncle Afton on MI. She later told me that she passed the fourth circle test. Grudos to her! (Isn't it appalling how much you can learn in the library compared to actual travels?)

Finally, I need to thank Afton for his help equipping me as a Ranger. He should make Ranger himself after a few more moons of study. I look forward to running through the forests with Afton and the rest of our ELF cadre of Rangers.

Learning about plants

At the meeting last moon, Veq, Lundar, and I decided to learn a bit more about the plants of Gungla's Island. Having just become a Ranger, I thought that our profession could do with learning a bit more about being good stewards of the forests and fields on our islands. We seem to focus on the wildlife for much of our training. (If hunting things to extinction in order to understand them makes any sense!)

Dun'ilsar!

Neko no Kessha sponsored the "Very Important Agatis" Dun'ilsar challenge today, and ELF put on a good showing. For the contest, each clan had to choose an Agratis to keep them alive in the Badlands, while trying to take down the other clans' Agratis. The last Agratis standing would be the winner.

Four clanmembers showed up for the contest: Fleming, Kor'gah, Yazza, and myself. It was decided that I would play the role of the Agratis, with Kor'gah and Yazza serving as envoys, and Fleming working to kill the opposing teams' Agratis. For our strategy, we decided to just hide out behind a large pile of rocks that Fleming had discovered earlier, and this strategy ended up working surprisingly well.

Cloud Moving

Yesterday I participated in the tail end of MaryJane's Mystic Cloud Event, along with Vequalir, Yazza, and Kor'gah. When I arrived, people were trying to get the Dark Cloud back over Sfoft's Peak, where a number of exiles were fallen.

Moving the Cloud turned out to be harder than I expected though, and even with the guidance of Apprender(who is familiar with the runic script of the Cloud control room), it took many frustrating hours before we could get the Cloud back over the Peak.
